Creative Director and Chief Executive, Willy Chavarria
Willy Chavarria is the creative director and chief executive of his namesake label. Based in New York and originally from California, he studied graphic design at the Academy of Art before turning to fashion, where his collections blend cinematic emotion with contemporary political themes and nods to his Mexican-American heritage. The brand is stocked by Dover Street Market, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Selfridges and Harrods, and has built its reputation on provocative runway presentations. Chavarria was one of 10 winners of the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund in 2021, received the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian National Design Award in Fashion Design in 2022, and was named CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year in 2023 and 2024. In 2025 he was named to the TIME100 list of the most influential people and nominated for Designer of the Year at The Fashion Awards. He presented his SS26 collection, “Huron,” at Paris Fashion Week.
