Tory Burch is the Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of Tory Burch LLC. Burch grew up in Pennsylvania and studied art history at the University of Pennsylvania before she moved to New York and worked for Zoran, Harper’s Bazaar, Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang, and Loewe. Burch launched her company in 2004 with a clear purpose: to build a global luxury brand and a foundation that would advance women’s economic power. She started with a boutique in New York and an e-commerce site; there are now 400 stores and 13 e-commerce sites globally.
